Trip around the World, finished :-)

At last, finished.
Today I could take pictures outside, the sun was shining.
And this is what I managed;

It's cold and clear, and in the background you can see the bridge to Denmark.
A beautiful day.

The size of the finished quilt is 172x172 cm.
I used cotton batting 80/20
The backside, and my label in the left corner.

In the end I had some more leftover blocks, and they became tablematts, or mugrugs. Depending on the size of the mug or the plate... hihi
I did some testing with free motion quilting for the first time.
And I can tell you I need some heavy training to be up and going on this technic. I signed up for a class on Craftsy, and hope to get the time to look into it during the spring/summer.
Have a nice day. :-)

    1. Takk skal du ha. Det er fotografert ute på Ön i Limhamn, og det er et friluftsområde utenfor våre hus. Det var faktisk 2 tillskuere til det hele, og de kom og kikket... :-)

  9. I love the colors in your scrappy TAW. The backing is wonderful. I like to make placemats or other quilty items with my extra blocks and such, too. Thanks for sharing and stopping by my blog and leaving a thread trail back so I could enjoy your quilting ... :) Pat

  12. Nydelig. Ser det er sol og fint hos dere. Her har vi hatt noen flotte dager med sol og fint. Det er for lite snø til å gå på ski, men det blir mange fine fotturer.
