A football fan quilt :-D

Min mann, og hans sönn og famile er football fans.
Malmö FF skal det väre.... himmelsblått og hvit.
Hva gjör man da når dette laget vinner den svenske serien?
Jo, da tenker man litt, og så småningom kommer man på hvordan man skal gjöre for å få ihop en quilt.

Toppen er klar, og baksiden er satt sammen, men den trenger litt justering enda, ser jeg...
Fotballen i midten er håndsydde  hexagons, og applikert på midtblokket.
Hjörneblokkene er wonky stars.
Vatten ligger klar, så snart er det bare å sette igang og quilte.....ooops!! Det blir nok litt spennende. Er alltid litt spent för jeg får satt den förste sömmen....

Slik ser i alle fall toppen ut. Fotball-stoffet måtte jeg kjöpe fra USA, det fantes ikke å få tak her,  i de farger jeg hadde tenkt meg. Alltid litt spennede når man lager eget design, man ser ikke helheten för det er sydd ferdig.

 

My HB, and his son and his family are football fans.

It's the local team, Malmö FF, blue and white.

This autumn they won the Swedish 2013 series. :-)

I wanted to make a quilt in the  teams colors, and this is as close as I could.

The blue is not exactly the correct tone, but it's close enough..

The football is made from hexagons, and appliqued on the mid block 

The top is finished, and the backing as well, and the batting is cut, so I just need to start the last part of the work, make a quilt!!

Always scary to start quilting, it could go wrong...

Mini purses and more :-D

Det er trist og grått ute, og da er det bra at man har en hobby.
Jeg har sydd 2 nye mini punger, og en har fått nökkelring.
Det er mange varianter for tillpassning med dette mönsteret.

The weather is rainy, grey and no fun at all. We have no snow, yet.
Happy to have a hobby. :-)
Made 2 more of the small purses, one with a key ring.

 

 

All 6 finished tablemats, and you can see the runner at the end of table.

If I'm able to find more inspiration, I might make 2 more, so all 8 places at the table can have one...

 

 

And something unusual... !!!

When I went for a small walk this afternoon with the dog, and I came across this flower.

I's blooming.... !!  outside in a garden close to the sea.....

Either it's too late, or it's fare to early......

Anyway, it was a nice sight. Reminds me that we will have spring this year as well.

But I'm afraid  we will get some winter first. They are promising cold and snow in the weekend.

Min förste WIP finish for 2014

Jeg hadde noen kuvertbrikker som var i arbeide fore jul, men jeg ble bare klare med 2 stykker.
Nå har jeg gjort ferdig 2 til. Jippi!!
Det er så fint å få litt bedre plass i den haugen som WIP ligger. :-)

Finally I finished 2 more of the small tablemats I had in process in December..

Status for Hasenbach PP

Hello everybody.

As you know I joined this Challenge after the summer vacation, and the plan was to finish by end December 2013.
AS a plan is just that, I did Not manage to fulfill it, but I'm coming there, hopefully sooner then later... :-D

This is how it looks like today, and I have 1 big block with a house to finish, and some small blocks to get it all together.

And of course, since Katrin with the blog  http://cattinkakw.blogspot.se/ is such a superb cheer-leader, I also took on the 2014 challenge.
Waiting to see what that will bring me.... oooppps, it my be difficult!!

Siste nisse for 2013, og en genser på gang, Happy New Year!!!

Da er juledagene over for denne gangen, også. Det er utrolig hvor fort det går.
Her er  +9  grader i dag, ( Oslo) og det er skremmende.Skulle ha värt -9 og snö på denne tiden av året.
Isteden er det bart, og regnbyger.
Det ser ut som väret har kommet helt av seg i vinter.

Ble ferdig med en nisse til i siste liten. Den ble overlevert den 21ste. og mottageren ble veldig glad for den. :-)

The Christmas days went very fast, and soon 2013 is ended.
In Oslo we have +9 C today, and no snow,,,,,
It should have been -9 and a lot of snow, but it looks like this winter is different. I don't like it.!

In the last days before the 24th. I finished this small doll.
She has a knitted T-shirt and trouses as the body. Long hair and a scarf, and the sweater is in process.

 

 

 

I did finish it in time, and the receiver was very happy when she got it. :-)

 

 

 

.... and a new "Dream sweater" is also in the process.

Hope to finish in a few days.....

A new Tammy

I juni dette året var det en bloghop hvor vi skulle sy en liten veske, Tammy.
Mönster fikk vi av Mdm Samm,  med bloggen  http://www.sewwequilt.com/

Hun er helt fantastisk når det gjelder idéer til tema for utfordre hverandre.
Jeg var med og sydde en söt Tammy av gamle gardiner jeg fikk av min  mor.

Denne gangen har jeg kjöp et lin lignende stoff, og foret med et flott svart/beige stoff jeg kjöpte sist vi var i USA. Det passet perfekt sammen.
Denne Tammy skal bli presang til en ung dame som hjulpet meg i höst. .... uten at jeg kan si noe mere.
Det er en liten myntpung eller lebestift etui med også.....
Håper de kommer til å falle i smak.


In June this summer I participated in a blog hop with mdm Samm,  http://www.sewwequilt.com/
and we made the very cute Tammy purse. :-) Mine was with flowery fabric I got from my mam, but this time I used a linen like fabric, and the lining is a fabric I purchased this spring when I was I the US. They fitted perfect together.
The only problem we have in Sweden is to get a frame that's long enough on the sides, so the opening will be big enough. But this one is very suitable in color and  it works....

Its 4 pockets, both outside and inside.

 

 

And a small purse for coins or the lipstick.... :-) to go with it.

This will be a present for a young lady that was of great help to me lately, that's all I can say. :-)

Knitting is ok when you have the Flu.... :-(

Been in bed for some days with the flu, and felt sorry for myself....
But, that's not a way to behave, so I had to knit to keep the spirit going.

2 pair of socks are ready for Santa Claus.

I tested a pattern  with foxes from Norsk Ull, but changed it to fit my socks. I only used the fox face, and the nose and eyes I stitched. All the long threads on the back side I fastened extra, so the little boy who is going to get this will not get he's toes in the loops. :-)
The foot and heal is knitted with double yarn, 1 thread 80% wool ( Opal)  and 1 cotton.

And this you can see is the same pattern as I used for the blue socks some weeks ago.
Again I apologize for bad quality on my pictures. I have to use my cell phone for some weeks, until I get hold of my battery charger for my camera. ( Left in my apartment in Oslo, on the last visit.)

Yesterday I felt better, so I did some sewing, ( a Tammy bag, and a small purse) but I need to finish  the handle and some buttons, so this will bee for another day....
